Auditioning for Fringe Theatre with Megan Griffith.
Megan is a freelance theatre director, producer, programmer and arts marketer. She is the Artistic Director and Executive Producer of Girl Gang Manchester and Pull Your Finger Out Productions, and the co-producer of Girl Gang Sheffield. Both her theatre company and female fronted arts collectives excel in creating artistic communities and nurturing local talent. Megan curates and conceptualising large scale collaborative events, immersive environments and inclusive atmospheres. Deliberately diverse, she is comfortably working across a range of artistic mediums and communities, with experience of working in theatre, art, nightlife, audience development and community engagement.
Megan’s is experienced in directing, new writing, established works, devising, verbatim, site specific, immersive, promenade, spoken word, comedy, movement and more. Directing credits include; Contact, Paines Plough Roundabout, 24:7 Theatre Festival, The Royal Exchange and The Lowry Studio. She was recently awarded an artist development bursary from Manchester International Festival, and has twice won Best Single Event at the Cinema For All Awards with Girl Gang Sheffield.
Megan’s casting experience includes Warp Films, Martin Gibbons Casting, JB Shorts and 24:7 Theatre Festival and her dramaturgical and script reading work includes The Bruntwood Playwriting Prize, 24:7 Theatre Festival, Contact Compacts and Manchester In Fringe Theatre Festival.
